Prevention – CCPCR form saving groups in Kroul Kou commune, Svay Rieng province. CCPCR has formed nine saving groups with over 300 members across six communes in August.

Prevention – ASEAN Youth Leader Assocation conduct their first community radio show on marriage trafficking and forced marriage featuring special guests, with support from CTIP.
CEDAC 1 - Prevention Savings Group Kampong Thom
Prevention – CEDAC close the balance of a saving group in Thbong Kroper village, Koakosh commune in Kampong Thom province. Starting with only 30 members and 110,000 Riel in capital the group now has 580,000 Riel and 40 members after only three months.

Prevention – CCPCR conduct awareness raising on trafficking and migration with villagers in Pak Khlong Commune in Koh Kong province. CCPCR educated over 500 villagers on these issues across two provinces in August.

Advocacy – Meeting of the Provincial Committee for Counter Trafficking in Koh Kong with technical support from Winrock International.
CCPCR 9 - Prevention Awareness raising at school in Svay Rieng
Prevention – CCPCR raises awareness on trafficking and abuse with school children in Tnoat commune in Svay Rieng province. CCPCR educated almost 100 children on these issues in August.
Winrock 2 - Prevention Advocacy Labor Doc Night Meta House PP
Prevention (advocacy) – LSCW Program Manager Mom Sokchar answers audience questions at Labor Trafficking Documentary Night at Meta House in Phnom Penh. LSCW provided legal support in the case against Giant Ocean, who were responsible for trafficking many Cambodian men to fishing boats around the world, and was the subject of a CTIP-produced documentary screened at the event.

CEDAC 5 - Prevention Farmer Promoters SRI
Prevention – A farmer in Roesey Slab village, Chrey commune in Prey Veng province trained on new rice-growing technology by CEDAC shows his rice harvest. He will go on to train others in his village on this technology that farmers have reported increases rice yields from 5 to 6.5 tonnes per hectare.

Prevention – CTIP-Supported Chaktomuk Short Film Festival 2016 mobilizes youth in Siem Reap to submit short films related to trafficking and migration to raise awarenss on the issues and change behavior through film.

Prevention – A farmer in Moen Puk village, Chrey commune in Prey Veng province practices new rice-farming techology taught to her by CEDAC. She will go on to train others in her community on this technology that reportedly increases rice yields from 5 to 6.5 tonnes per hectare.

Partnership – Winrock International holds its quarterly prevention partners meeting to share lessons learned, challenges and best practices to maximise program impact.
