Media Advisory: Launch of ‘High Expectations; Hard Realities’ Mobile Photo Exhibition

USAID’s Cambodia Countering Trafficking-in-Persons (CTIP) program invites you to the launch of a mobile photo exhibition entitled: “High Expectation; Hard Realities.” The exhibition depicts the struggles of a Cambodian bride living in China. The event will be presided over by Her Excellency Chou Bun Eng, Secretary of State and Permanent Vice Chair of the National Committee for Counter Trafficking in Persons (NCCT), USAID representative Makara Ou and Chinese documentary photographer Yan Cong. The exhibition aims to inform the public about the difficult realities faced by Cambodian women who migrated to China for marriage. It will be held in Phnom Penh, Kampong Cham, and Siem Reap for 18 days.

Date:             May 3, 2016 (media representatives should arrive no later than 9:40am)

Venue:        The Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE), Hall B

Participants:             National Committee for Counter Trafficking in Persons (NCCT), U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), NGOs, Chinese documentary photographer Yan Cong, Winrock International, RULE faculty, and students.
