18 February 2016, Siem Reap – At the Annaul Reflection event of the Provincial Committee for Countering Trafficking-in-Persons (PCCT) in Siem Reap, a representative from CTIP (Cambodia Countering Trafficking-In-Persons) introduced the program to the PCCT. The introduction allowed the PCCT to integrate some CTIP programme activities into the government’s activity agenda in combating human trafficking.

At the event, H.E. You Sophea, Provincial Deputy Governor, Permanent Vice Chair of PCCT and the Chair of PCCT’s Secretariat expressed her appreciation of the technical and financial support provided by the CTIP program to Siem Reap province.  She stated that to tackle human trafficking issues, joint commitment, collaboration and efforts were required of all stakeholders on prevention, protection, and prosecution efforts against trafficking in persons.

USAID-CTIP is committed to providing technical support to strengthen PCCT capacities in dealing with human trafficking related issues.
